Wisdom Drops is a quote puzzle. Each word of a famous quote sits inside a glowing drop of water. Drag the right drops together and the quote comes back.
It is a word puzzle, but you are not hunting for letters. You unscramble a whole sentence and put the words back in the order they belong in.
Most word games give you flat tiles. This one gives you water. Drag a drop and it stretches and wobbles behind your finger. Two words that belong side by side lean toward each other and pull into one bigger drop. Two that do not belong flatten, shiver and push apart.
How to play
1. A quote is scrambled into drops, one word in each drop.
2. Drag one drop onto another. If those two words sit next to each other in the quote, they join.
3. Keep joining until one drop holds the whole quote.
4. The quote appears with its author, and a line saying what it means.
Two ways to play the same quote puzzle
Classic. Join any two words that belong together, in whatever order suits you.
Thread. Press the word you think comes first, then drag through the rest without lifting your finger. One guess for the whole quote. Much harder.
What is in it
- 723 quotes, three words long up to ten. Inspirational and motivational quotes, old proverbs and sayings. 131 carry a name, including Einstein, Aristotle, Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde.
- Every quote is explained. Solve one and a short line tells you in plain English what it actually means. All 723 of them.
- Eight lengths: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, Master, Champion, Genius and Legend. The last three open up as you solve more.
- No timer, no lives, nothing to lose. Sit on one quote for an hour if you like.
- Plays offline. The puzzles need no internet and no wifi.
- A weekly leaderboard and an all time leaderboard, under any name you pick.
- Three hints every day, at no cost.
- Five colour themes for the pool.
About the look
This is the part we put the most time into, and it is the main reason to pick this over another word game.
The board is a dark pool. The drops glow from the inside, bend the light behind them, and throw a soft colour onto the surface underneath. None of it is a flat picture. It is drawn live, and it moves the way water moves. It is meant to be relaxing to watch as much as to solve.
Turn the sound on and hold the phone close. Two drops joining is a satisfying thing to feel. A screenshot cannot carry that, but it will show you the look. Open ours before you settle on a different quote game.
The weekly contest
Every quote you solve earns points. Long quotes are worth more, and so are clean, quick solves. Finish a week at the top of the weekly board and you keep one of the four paid themes forever. Win the next week and you pick another. There is no limit on that.
Who it is for
Anyone who likes quotes and proverbs. Anyone who wants a calm word game to sit with, with no clock running. It suits a coffee break, a bus ride with no signal, or ten minutes before bed. It is made for adults and older teens, not for small children. People call this sort of thing a brain game, and it does ask something of your memory and your vocabulary, but that is a side effect, not the point.
Straight answers
Every word puzzle in the game is free to play. There are ads between puzzles and one purchase takes them away for good. Extra hints come from watching a short video, or you can buy them instead.
We do not ask for an account, an email or a sign in, not even for the leaderboard. You pick a name, and that name is all we know about you.
