Description
Funomena’s whimsical sandbox game WOORLD lets you transform everyday space into a virtual world of full of playful characters and toys. From the colorful imagination of Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi, WOORLD takes you through the lens of the magical Tango device:
** Create a virtual world that lives within your very own physical space, viewing it through the lens of a magical Tango device. ** Place objects onto surfaces in the real-world, such as: walls, tables, and even ceilings! ** Walk through a virtual world by moving through real space, in real time! Things are not always as they seem... ** Guide characters and explore objects by touching the Tango screen, moving them about, and observing their behavior and interactions.
A unique and friendly augmented reality experience, WOORLD lets you decorate your space with fantastical objects and then see how they interact in silly, playful ways. Get to know the adorable characters and help them explore your creation with a simple touch interface. Build a WOORLD, and then share it with friends! Help the lost Explorer find friends and eventually - find its way home. The sky’s the limit with this magical, creative play experience - exclusively built for Tango-enabled devices.

Wonderful Charming and unique. A fantastic world to explore if a little opaque and unstable.

Pretty neat demo, but it definitely feels like a demo and not a full experience. I was honestly amazed at the object occlusion though! The first time that little yellow thing walked under my coffee table and not just awkwardly clipping through it like other apps, it kinda blew my mind. This is the most technically impressive AR I've seen yet, but I'd love to see more of a game with this tech. An AR shooter with this level of spatial awareness would be truly amazing!
