Unlike other word games where you often get stuck, Word Drift lets you move the letters around. However, like a sliding puzzle, you can only move the letters into the empty space. To submit the words, simply swipe the letters in any direction. Some letters are pinned to the board and will not move until all the pins are removed. Some of the tiles are not movable at all so you will have to work around them.

The explosive tiles, when used in a words, will go off and destroy other tiles. They are useful to get rid of letters that are hard to use, or to reach tiles that are stuck behind fixed blocks.

You can submit the words that are at least 2 letters long, but the word with 4 letters for more will trigger bonuses and combos.

There are 5 categories of board games to play, each of them contains 20 levels, for the total of 80 levels.
