Word Up - Charades & Words

Word Up is the loud, fast, pass-the-phone party game made for Nigerian gatherings, and for anyone who loves a good shout across the room.

Split into teams, pick a genre, and race the clock. One player describes the secret word while carefully dodging the forbidden words on the card. Say a forbidden word and the other team buzzes you. Get your team to guess it in time and you score. Simplest rules, maximum chaos.

It is part charades, part word game, all wahala. Perfect for family game night, hangouts with friends, hostel common rooms, long car rides, and every "who is smarter" argument you have been waiting to settle.

PLAY YOUR WAY

Teams: gather your people, split into two, and battle it out round by round.

Daily Challenge (new): ten fresh words every day, the same for everyone. Guess the hidden word from its clues and build a daily streak.

Beat the Clock (new): a ninety second solo sprint. Guess as many words as you can, then come back to beat your best.

WHY YOU WILL LOVE IT

- Works fully offline. No wifi, no data, no problem. Play anywhere.
- Made in Nigeria, with words and names that actually feel like home.
- Pick your genre: food, music, movies, places, people, and more.
- Quick rounds that keep the room loud and the turns moving.
- Simple enough for the whole family, tricky enough to start a real debate.
- One phone is all you need. Pass it around and play.

Whether you are a big group looking for the best party and family game night, or on your own chasing a daily word game streak, Word Up brings the noise, the laughter, and a little healthy arguing over the scores.

Gather your squad or play solo. We are glad you are here.

Recent changes:
We fixed an issue that stopped Daily Challenge reminders from showing, so your daily nudge now arrives right on time. Word Up also shows its proper name on your home screen, the reminder switch updates the moment you turn reminders on, and Home and the solo modes now make full use of bigger tablet screens. Keep that streak going and gather your teams to play!
