In 2021 and 2022, there will be two continuous T20 world cups. In April 2018, the ICC Cricket Control Board confirmed that T20 World Cup 2021 will replace the Champions Trophy 2021, which will now be held in Australia in 2022.
In round one, there are eight teams competing in two groups. Sri Lanka, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, and Oman are in Group A, while Bangladesh, Scotland, Namibia, and the Netherlands are in Group B. Two teams will advance from each group. These four teams will then join the eight teams that have already qualified for the Super 12 (India, West Indies, England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, and Afghanistan). The semi-finals will be held on November 11 and 12. The final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 is expected to take place on November 14.
The Dubai International Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah Stadium, and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground will host the T20 World Cup in 2021.
