Comments on WWBT First Alert Weather for Android

★★★★★ Jerry Grant · Aug 17, 2025

Radar not always accurate but it does warn us of bad weather and Andrew always lets us know as well. App could use some tweaking for better accuracy of inclement weather.

★★★★☆ Stuart Edwards · Sep 22, 2026

Please fix the NOTIFICATIONS, so I can disable the 9 notifications for CLOUDY that come in at the same time. I do not have CLOUDY as a notification to turn on or off. Still the best Local Weather App.

★★★★★ Kelsey Werkheiser · Feb 19, 2026

The one and only weather app I have used for YEARS! It has proven to be the most accurate time and time again. My husband has a different app, and we like to compare and WWBT First Alert is way more accurate!

★★☆☆☆ Kimberly Kane · Jan 27, 2026

Reliable app easy to get to. I can check for the latest weather conditions minute by minute, and it has been correct. Also, notifications will come up in plenty of time before bad weather hits. .... Update > I don't know what happened, but it's stuck in another state and not accurate!! Since the new year. Bye App.

★☆☆☆☆ Lauren Padgett · Nov 30, 2025

Love the app but the widget on my phones home screen will not update. Tried everything clearing cache, data uninstalling. I am getting the correct weather temperature and alerts just the widget is not updating. My phone is fine. I have my location on its just stuck. Please fix.

★★☆☆☆ Chris Houk (Metal Chris Houk) · May 25, 2026

Very inconsistent. Accuracy is about 50/50. Constant periods of "Unable to refresh" that last 12-24+ hours every few days when it comes to the widgets. I can tell that less work goes to this app than some others. The ads are ridiculous and make the app more bloated. The widgets are practically worthless because they are consistently "unable to refresh". They haven't refreshed on my phone since 1:56 AM last night, and I have restarted my phone and cleared the cache. Any BETTER alternatives?
