Yakshama Arogya Mitra – TB Care is a digital support platform intended for use by authorized healthcare professionals and registered patients under government TB programs. It does not replace professional medical diagnosis or treatment. All clinical decisions must be made by qualified healthcare providers.
The Yakshama Arogya Mitra application is a comprehensive, AI-enabled digital health platform designed to support tuberculosis (TB) prevention, treatment, and patient care management across all levels of the public health system.
The app serves multiple stakeholders involved in TB control and care delivery, including:
Department – Provides overall governance, policy oversight, and program monitoring. DTO (District Tuberculosis Officer) & District Planning Coordinator– Manage district-level planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of TB activities. Sahiyas (Community Health Workers) & Doctors – Act as frontline healthcare providers for patient identification, diagnosis, follow-up, and treatment adherence. TB Units (TBU) – Coordinate operational activities, case management, and reporting at the sub-district level. Hospitals and Health Facilities – Including DTC, CHC, PHC, and HFI, responsible for diagnosis, treatment, and clinical management. Patients– The primary beneficiaries, receiving continuous care, monitoring, and support throughout the treatment journey.
Patients are identified through healthcare facilities or community outreach. Authorized officials record and update patient clinical data, after which a TB case is formally registered in the system. The app ensures continuous monitoring of each patient from diagnosis through treatment and up to the cured stage.
The platform provides regular automated intimations to patients for laboratory tests, medication schedules, follow-up visits, and diagnosis updates. Multiple notification channels are supported, including:
