Yik Yak

★★★★★ Was an amazing app, didn't mind handles, didn't mind profiles, I wouldn't have even absolutely hated it when they got rid of anonymity and forced you to use your handle always. But they got rid of herd, I don't live near my campus and I hardly ever yak in class so it's completely useless to me now.

★★★★★ You had a good thing going here, anonymity was part of its charm and the herds were usefull. This update is garbage, turned it into a cheap Twitter knock off. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. You clearly don't understand your own community. Uninstalled. Update: It was a blunder to remove the core theme from the app but now that it's back, all is well.

★★☆☆☆ Why in the world would you remove the herds feature and the ability to comment/vote on yaks away from campus? That was the only reason I kept this app after the addition of handles. Usually, areas away from campuses are dead spots for yik yak. Now, for them to take away herds, force you to use your handle and make you create a profile to access your yaks, replies, ans settings is so far removed from what yik yak was. I'm done with these changes. Bye yik yak. 4/6/2017 - Tried yikyak on a whim...it's even worse now. Will never download this pile of junk again.

★★☆☆☆ This app worked really well for a while. But the developers changed how big your "local area" was, and now my college campus is getting yaks from a Navy base and 3 other campuses. My campus' yak herd is completely dead now because of how annoying all of the other areas are. No one wanted to hear about what was happening at the navy base or 3 other campuses.

★★☆☆☆ Used to be good app until handles and profiles were introduced. If the appeal was anonymity, why take it away?
