Was going to rate low, but tried it & honestly can not rate lower than 3 or 4*. If you have the money, this app looks worth it! Beautiful strokes! Perfect for calligraphy & ink painting, especially kanji & sumi-e, they even have the washi paper +others to go with it! Major problem though are the watermarks, no undo & virtually everything behind a pay wall. If you already have ads, allow for more to be utilized by free users. Also allow for red +others, as it would go wonderfully with the black.

This is one of the best apps out there. The form factor where it should be used is a Tablet and a very good stylus (iPad and Apple Pencil 2 is ideal) Some people have given low ratings for 'not having more colors.' This app is for Japanese (East Asian) calligraphy which uses only a brush, paper and black ink (red ink is used for corrections). What you are using is the full app; the small screens, poor styluses of Android are the issues, and of course, a lack of understanding of the app

Other than the redo button locked behind a paywall... I think this definitely captures the elegant and gentle way of creating Zen art. This can also be specifically useful for Kanji stroke practice - imagining the brush as an actual, real brush. I don't mind the paywall because I've always liked the method of painting/drawing by only using pencil and eraser. Great app.

In 2012, I paid twice to get Pro version (Samsung store receipts are proofs) in 2022 now I still get asked to purchase Pro ? Seriously.... Post update of my Note II from 4.1.2 to 4.3 since yesterday keeps asking me to purchase for Pro version. Whereas I purchased when my N7100 was launched with 4.1.1 out of the box

Undo button is locked behind a paywall. Yeah no, thanks. Fairly good-looking recreation of sumi-e, but that is just greed beyond the pale. Could get comparable from Median Paint and more for free.

Rubbish, paid and nothing different, all geared toward IOS which considering it is coming through as a Samsung s pen app is just plain wrong. No colors, only shades of black and some templates.
