Perfect In every way. No ads, no in-app purchases, no logins, free, tons of sounds, limitless soundscape customization, and you can add your own sounds. I use an app called blanket on Linux and was looking for a similar app on android since I hate ads and getting my account tangled in a web of app logins. I stumbled across a reddit post about this and can't believe it had literally everything I was looking for. Thanks so much for this app!

This app is so amazing! I wonder why It's still underrated. The first time I heard sleep sounds was yesterday and soon I began my research for apps in this category and all I found was limited apps containing: few sounds, short sounds and paid apps. But since I encountered the dev post on reddit and downloaded it, I was impressed with how much love the dev put into this app. A whole library for high quality sleep sounds and the ability to add your own. Sensation does not come with any sounds inherently. It requires user to download the sounds they want to use. This is good, it's just whenever I try to download any sounds I get an error message: "Failed to download [sound name]. Check your internet connection." I can't even play previews for any sounds. My internet connection works perfectly for every other app. Background activity and data are enabled. No permissions requested.

Beware - extreme background data usage. I deployed a packet analyzer and was surprised to see, out of all apps on my phone, that Sensation was the #1 user of background data even when closed. It has several processes that phone home, constantly sending data. This is either malicious or poorly coded... There is no need for a white noise app to be constantly doing this in the background. If you want to use this app, do so, but I recommend disabling background data in your "Mobile Data" settings.
