For select models you can customize your motorcycle’s performance, assemble your own dashboard, relive your rides, monitor your bike’s whereabouts and so much more with the Zero Motorcycles NextGen App.
NextGen 2.15.0 combines all the best features of both of Zero Motorcycles’ previous app offerings to date, with compatibility with the entire Zero Motorcycles range from 2013 forward.
App Features
Zero’s NextGen App works with the bike’s dash and Cypher II or Cypher III operating system to create a feature-rich ecosystem. Common features for these models include: • Select and create ride modes • Personalized dash options •.Scheduled and target-based charging •.Charging station location assistance •.Extensive notifications, including state-of-charge (SOC), time-to-charge and last-ride statistics. •.Ride data: location, speed, lean angle, power, torque, SoC, energy used/re-generated •.Remote diagnostics and Cypher III updates •.Model restrictions apply. Not all features will be available for FX, FXS, FXE, S, DS, DSR. Not all features will be available for SR prior to MY22.
The Connected Bike
MY20+ SR/F and SR/S and MY24+ S, SR, DS, DSR, DSR/X are connected through cellular networks, transmitting info to the App at all times. Ride information, current bike status and location are always available. This connectivity gives you the ability to monitor the bike in four (4) main areas: Bike Status & Alerts, Charging, Ride Data Sharing, and System Upgrades & Updates.

Enjoy my srf 2020. I keep it in eco-mode. I drive from kill Devil Hill, North Carolina down to Rodanthi and Avon North Carolina. And it is a fun ride in the city of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Great mileage in the city. Keep it an ego, and I can get about 50 to 55 mi on the open road. Possibly more. I'm still exploring and learning about this motorcycle. I have owned this motorcycle since 2024. 14.4 KW battery small one. I did get new tires for this. It's Michelin road 6.

A Great Bike this 2022 Sr is with Performance upgrade, reverse, and 10 % additional battery upgrade. I love this bike! I have a 07 CBR 600rr that this bike might make me sell. However...... Top speed of 108 ! Not the 124 mph. Promised, with the Performance upgrade. I will be calling corporate soon.

Even though this is not the most amazing app and often appears to give erroneous information, it really DOES update the Bike's ECU and BMS firmware. Unlike many Chinese Bike that say they do, but never actually works - Zero Firmware really will update with this app

The main problem with the app is that it doesn't constantly connect to my bike, a 2023 FX with the latest fw updates. When the bike is on, and you're standing next to it, pressing connect in the app should just work. 2nd issue is a needed feature, set the max charge level to maximize the life of the battery. At a minimum this could be just setting it to stop charging at 80%.

For a high-tech bike this app is sorely lacking, notifications don't work - I want to know if someone is trying to steal my bike! Setting charge targets is strangely oblique. Firmware update doesn't work. No one is updating the app, and It's a ramshackle mess, a total letdown. The strange thing about zero - these should be about great tech - yet they choose tungsten indicator bulbs, a key for ignition and an app that doesn't work!
