ZINIO - Magazine Newsstand

★★★★★ Overall my experience with zinio has been very good, but I have run into a problem with purchases through the app downloaded from Google Play Store. The subscriptions I purchased do not show up under subscriptions in google play So I can't manage them. Help topics I researched send me around in circles. I think it would be an easy fix if I ask the right question or speak with an actual person. I have such a bad taste in my mouth that I will never buy another subscription from zinio.

★★★★★ I have purchased hobby 2 magazines and I love them. Especially that I can read them without internet access bc we don't have that at the cottage. They are publications that I can't get from my local library, and I don't have to give them back! 😊

★★☆☆☆ Stupid design with respect to device limit. I'm OK with a 5 device limit. If you reach that limit and say you're at work with a new computer, and you didn't clear the old one from the list before turning it in, then log into the new one, Zinio won't let you get to your device list with the new one in order to remove a device to make room for the new one. It denied you even the admin functions. Gotta use an already provisioned device to do that. You're just SOL if you don't have one with you.

★★☆☆☆ When opening library to read magazine zinio closes therefore not able to read any magazines - very disappointing

★★☆☆☆ Draining my battery in background usage. I noticed my battery being used up very quickly when not plugged in. I checked on battery usage by app and the biggest user was Zinio (38%) and this was all in the background. I haven't even opened the app in a week.

★★☆☆☆ Getting annoyed that Zinio insist on spamming me with email notifications of expiring subscriptions even though they're unsubscribed (and also inaccurate). One more and I'll be reporting them to the ICO (UK). Android App is much improved and more reliable.
