It's unfortunate that this app is needed, but sadly we live in a world where LGBTQIA+ hate incidents are still happening regularly 😔 This app can't solve the problem overnight itself, but it does allow reporting the incident and get support. It's not like you can go to the police to report most of these, sadly.

No organization should recommend this to anyone in Wales! You cannot report anything in Wales. The location picker is completely broken, and has been since the app started. The developers acknowledged and ignored my request to fix this.

Shares your info with Vodafone, Stonewall and Gallop. Not many events listed at all. App is a bit jumpy/glitchy which is irritating. Glossary is good if you don't know the terms. Doesn't make it clear that a 'hate crime' is a crime that is motivated by hate to a demographic under the Equality Act, so is probably harvesting data that isn't related to a hate crime. Given the massive data sharing inherent in the app I would advise direct reporting to galop or the police and not this app.
