Description
Atkena Trading is an Ethiopian company that introduces Zoza Technology; a ride-sharing service that offers safe, secure, and comfortable rides at an incredibly low cost! Our AI-powered platform ensures that your ride is always timely and efficient, while our experienced drivers provide the best customer service to ensure your satisfaction. What is Zoza Technology? Zoza technology is a technology introduced by Atkena Trading. It is a ridesharing service that arranges one-way pre-scheduled transportation on short notice by matching passengers with drivers via a mobile app. With our app, customers can quickly request a ride, track their driver's progress, and pay at the end of their trip as they would with a normal taxi. We guarantee to provide timely and trustworthy service with the best customer service in Addis Ababa. We understand that our customers are the reason we are in business, so we will go above and beyond to make sure they are happy when they travel with us. Although both public and commercial providers provide public transportation in Addis Ababa, the sector's service is still inefficient and subject to numerous operational constraints. Addis Ababa has continued to struggle with mobility challenges due to insufficient transportation services to fulfill the increasing needs of its diversified population and economic activity. Public transportation is not offered in adequate quantity or with satisfactory service. Overloading, driver and driving assistant indiscipline, the poor physical condition of the vehicles, low level of standard and lack of empowerment of transport users, and sexual harassment are the most common issues faced. Aside from government transportation services (Anbessa bus, Civil servant bus, Sheger Express bus, and Light rail transit), customers who use minibus taxis and Higer midi-bus have an additional challenge: overcharging. Another difficulty is the rush to board even when there is no line. As a result, customers are at risk of being robbed. Furthermore, due to the pressure, it is difficult for the elderly and children to board, generating difficulty for passengers. Walking and public transport are the dominant forms of mobility in Addis Ababa making up 85 percent of trips. 31 percent of the population using public transport depend on minibus taxis, midi- bus taxis, Sheger buses, Anbessa buses, and LRT. Although Addis Ababa has a diverse range of public transport options, the provision of transport services is still inefficient and has significant limitations. Among the city's most significant transportation challenges are: Insufficient supply of public transport service Lack of terminals and shelters Poor vehicle quality and comfort Lack of affordability Inappropriate location of mass transport terminals, which hinders traffic circulation Poor access to the workplace, education, health, and other services due to lack of public transport service. Continuous increases in transport fares especially for low-income groups. Roads capacity and traffic flow do not work in a coordinated manner and roads are increasingly congested. Lack of sufficient traffic signals, road signs, and markings, coupled with non-functioning and ineffective features of the existing ones.
Lack of dedicated bus lanes or infrastructure for Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) such as walking and cycling infrastructure. High rate of traffic accidents. Very limited options for people with disabilities, the elderly, women, and other vulnerable groups. Poor safety and security, particularly for women. Increasing air and noise pollution. Lack of parking facilities and overutilization of on-road parking. Lack of public and freight transport terminals with necessary facilities. One of the major issues in our city is that people frequently overpay when taking meter taxis or sharing a Lada at a station in order to avoid waiting in line for minibusses and they end up paying the long-distance fee only.
