72 Shemot

The 72 Names of God (Shem HaMephorash) follow a daily rhythm: 24 hours divided into 72 windows of 20 minutes each, beginning at sunrise. Knowing which Name is active at any moment normally requires tables and calculations. 72 Shemot does it for you — automatically, every day, wherever you are.

Open the app and see the Name that is active right now, its Hebrew letters in beautiful traditional typography, its meaning, and a live countdown of the time remaining in its window. When you're ready, begin a guided meditation on the Name without leaving the app.

HOW IT WORKS

• Sunrise at your exact location is calculated on-device using the NOAA solar algorithm — no internet connection needed.
• Name 1 (Vehuiah) becomes active at sunrise; each following Name takes the next 20-minute window, through the full day's cycle.
• Meditate in the central minutes of each window, following Abraham Abulafia's framework.

No account. No tracking. No backend. Your location is used only on your device to compute sunrise, and everything works offline. If you prefer not to share location, you can set your sunrise time manually.

Whether you are studying Kabbalah, deepening an existing practice, or encountering the 72 Names for the first time, 72 Shemot keeps you connected to the rhythm of the day — one Name, one window, one meditation at a time.
