Abyss Lantern: Deep Rescue

Six days ago, Station Nereid went silent.

Thirty-eight crew live at the bottom of the trench, and their last transmission said only this: "...something down here is waking up..."

No submarine can reach them in time. Except one old bathysphere, and its pilot. You.

Descend from the sunlit shallows through the Twilight and Midnight zones into the black Abyss. Each zone gets darker, faster and stranger, and your lantern matters more with every metre.

Escape pods drift through the dark with their beacons blinking. Grab them and send the survivors up to the surface. Can you bring home all 38?

Your oxygen drains on every dive, and a cracked hull leaks it faster. Collect air canisters before the gauge runs dry.

Dodge jellyfish and urchins, slip past shoals of lanternfish, don't fall for the anglerfish's glowing lure, and watch the edges when the water turns red.

Fire sonar pulses to clear the water around you, and raise your shield to plough straight through danger. Collect glowing copepods and spend them between dives on stronger hull plating, a bigger oxygen tank, a longer-lasting shield and an extra sonar charge.

Rescue crew to earn new hull finishes for your bathysphere, each with its own colour of lantern.
