Airside Views: Window Seats

Find the best window seat before you fly.

Airside Views tells you which side of the plane to sit on for scenic views — left or right — using real flight routes, geography, and landmarks. Search your airports, compare scenic scores, and pick a window seat with something worth looking at.

WHICH SIDE SHOULD I SIT ON?
It depends on the route. Flight path, mountains, coastlines, cities, time of day, and typical takeoff and landing directions all change what you see. Search origin and destination to get a left-or-right recommendation for that flight.

WHAT YOU GET
• Window-seat tips for thousands of routes worldwide
• Scenic scores for the left and right sides of the plane
• Landmarks, landscapes, and route highlights
• Takeoff and landing view tips by airport
• Browse scenic flights from or to any airport
• Top-ranked scenic routes to inspire your next trip
• Works offline — browse routes even on the plane

PLAN THE VIEW, NOT JUST THE SEAT
Most booking sites stop at aisle vs window. Airside Views goes further: which window. Sit on the wrong side and you might miss the Alps, a coastline, a city skyline, or a landmark you paid to see from the ground.

Built by travelers who used to check runway headings, historic flight tracks, and maps by hand. After a Kenya Airways departure from Victoria Falls flew right over the falls — the same view as a helicopter tour, if you knew which side to sit on — we built the guide we wished existed.

HOW TO USE IT
1. Search your departure and arrival airports
2. See which side of the plane has the better views
3. Read landmarks, scores, and tips
4. Choose a window seat not over the wing

Whether you are planning a vacation, a scenic hop along the coast, or a long-haul over mountains, check Airside Views before you pick seats.
