THREE WAYS TO PLAY

Daily
Solve the same ladder as everyone else each day. You have 14 guesses across all three words. Win to build your daily streak.

Unlimited
Keep playing with 1,532 ladders and no daily limit. The first ladders you meet are the easiest. Each ladder gives you 14 guesses.

In Daily and Unlimited, an optional video gives you three extra guesses once per ladder.

Sunset
Solve one ladder with no guess limit while the clock counts up. Your fastest solve is saved. Can you set a new best?

FOLLOW THE LETTERS

Tile and keyboard colors help you find each word:
• Green: right letter, right spot.
• Amber: in the word, wrong spot.
• Gray: not in the word.

The letter tray keeps the letters you've found and carries them into the next word. Tap a tray letter to type it, or use Shuffle to rearrange unlocked letters. Letters lock into place when their position is known.

HELP WHEN YOU WANT IT

Rule out removes a letter that isn't in the current word or any word still to come, without using a guess. You get three free uses per ladder; an optional video gives you three more.

Reveal shows a missing letter after an optional video. When all letters are known, it places one in its square instead, but never the last one.

Missed exactly one day? An optional video can repair your streak once every seven days, before you finish that day's Daily. Gaps of two or more days cannot be repaired.
