HOW IT WORKS
A JSON file is plain text that describes screens: their text, pictures, lists, forms and buttons, and what a tap does. Appkin reads it and draws it with its own native components. Nothing in the file runs as code: it can only use the screens and actions built into Appkin.
MAKE IT WITH YOUR AI APP
Describe what you want. Appkin prepares complete instructions for you to copy into ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or any AI app you use, so it knows exactly what to write. Bring the answer back by pasting it or opening the file it makes. Appkin checks it, pictures included, and shows it straight away. If something's wrong, such as an image that doesn't load, Appkin lists the problems for you to send back to your AI app.
No AI inside: you copy the request into your own AI app, then paste its answer back. Your chats stay in the AI app you chose.
KEEP YOUR FILES CLOSE
Every file you open or make is kept under Your apps, ready to open again. Open JSON files from Files, Mail or Messages with "Open in Appkin".
WHAT A FILE CAN DESCRIBE
• Screens with text, buttons and pictures
• Lists, typed in or loaded from the web, with a page for each item
• Notes, checklists and collections saved on your iPhone, with photos, tags, sorting and swipe to tick off
• Forms with text, numbers, dates, choices, tags, photos from your library and attached files that open later
• Share what you saved as a PDF, or as Markdown with its photos in a zip for your notes app
• Moving between screens, alerts, maps, links, and adding events to your calendar
START FROM AN EXAMPLE
Three examples come with Appkin: Masterpieces, a gallery of famous public-domain paintings; App ideas, a notebook for your ideas and bugs with photos, tags and a PDF; and Movies, a film catalogue. Open any of them in the editor to see its JSON and change it.
FOR THE CURIOUS
Every file is plain JSON you can read. The built-in editor shows it with a live check, and the format guide explains every part.
PRIVATE
No ads, no account, no data collected. If a file needs an API key, Appkin asks for it once and keeps it in your iPhone's Keychain.
Movies uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
