Markup puts the notebook's pens on a PDF's own pages: highlight a paragraph, circle a figure, answer a worksheet's questions, and the PDF stays as it was.

Write with Apple Pencil or a finger; pinch in close and the page stays sharp. Neat Writing tidies your hand, and shapes snap clean. Scroll your pages or turn them like paper. Pick from nineteen inks at a width you set exactly, with a ruler, tape and laser pointer nearby. Put the pen down to scroll with a finger. Type onto the page, tape over answers to test yourself, and write small with the zoom window.
Pages come in 81 kinds of paper, from lined and Cornell notes to music staff, planners and colouring pages. Bring in a PDF to write on, pictures to colour in, or make your own page a template. Add stickers, photos and sticky notes, choose from 30 covers, and search your handwriting.
