AresScan+ is a state-of-the-art, AI-powered document scanner designed for speed, accuracy and complete privacy. Capture documents instantly with intelligent edge detection, automatic perspective correction and advanced image enhancement—all running locally on your device. There is no cloud processing, no uploading, no tracking and no account required.
Built on modern, evolving AI models, AresScan+ delivers sharper scans, cleaner text and reliable optical character recognition. The configurable Neural Scanner lets you fine-tune processing to balance speed, accuracy and visual clarity, helping you achieve optimal results across both high-end and lower-powered devices.
AresScan+ includes a powerful, state-of-the-art PDF viewer for opening, reading, searching and managing documents in one private workspace. Navigate using page previews, zoom in for detailed inspection and search recognised text to find information quickly. Merge multiple PDFs, reorder pages, rotate, extract or delete individual pages, repair corrupted documents and compress files for easier sharing and storage. You can also convert scanned images into searchable PDFs and export high-quality results—all without sending your documents to an external service.
Scan supported barcodes directly through your camera with fast, live detection and conversion. AresScan+ instantly transforms encoded data into readable, actionable information that can be copied, saved, searched or shared. Quickly access supported links, reference numbers, contact details, product identifiers and other encoded content without manually entering long codes. A fully offline barcode creator also lets you generate and manage your own codes for personal or business use.
Text Intelligence allows you to scan printed text using your camera or extract it from existing images. Convert photographs, screenshots, receipts, signs, notes, book pages and scanned documents into editable, selectable text. Search recognised content to quickly locate names, phrases, numbers or references across your documents and images, then copy, edit, save or share the results.
Images can be converted into editable text or searchable PDF documents, making previously static content easier to organise, find and reuse. Extracted text can also be translated into more than 50 languages. Text recognition and supported language packs work offline, helping your information remain private and accessible without an internet connection.
AresScan+ includes powerful compression tools for individual files and complete folders. Choose from ZIP, GZIP, TAR, XZ, ZLIB, BZIP2 and Zstandard formats for sharing, archiving or reducing storage usage. Every compression task is handled locally, with no uploads or remote background processing.
Additional privacy and security tools let you repair corrupted PDFs, anonymise identity documents, analyse documents for potential security risks and encrypt PDFs, Word documents, Excel workbooks and other file types. Microsoft Office support allows Word and Excel files to be imported and managed alongside your scanned documents, while folders and fast search help keep your private library organised.
AresScan+ brings document scanning, PDF viewing and editing, OCR, barcode intelligence, translation, image conversion, compression and file security together in one powerful app. New AI models and enhancements are actively developed to improve scanning quality and expand on-device capabilities with future updates.
Your documents stay on your device. Your information stays under your control.
