This is the iPhone companion to Arete for Mac — a free, open-source notes app with spaced-repetition flashcards. Open the same vault folder (kept in iCloud Drive) and practice anywhere; your reviews sync straight back to your Mac.
• Spaced repetition (FSRS) schedules every card for the moment you're about to forget it
• Full Markdown and beautiful KaTeX math on every card
• Add cards on the go, with photos from your camera roll
• Three card types: spaced, routine, and temporary
• Insights into your streaks, due counts, and workload
• Fast, offline, and private
Your data stays yours. Everything lives in a folder you choose — on your device or in your own iCloud Drive. There is no account, no server, and no tracking of any kind. Arete cannot see your cards.
Arete for Mac is free and open source.
