Ask About It - I Ching Oracle

Ask About It is a quiet, ad-free companion for the I Ching — the ancient Chinese book of changes. Hold a question in mind, draw a hexagram, and read what 3,000 years of tradition has to offer in return.

Three ways to draw a reading:

• Yarrow Stalks — the classical method, simulated digitally. Best for questions that feel layered or unresolved. Takes a moment, like the original ritual.
• Play Coins — three coins, six tosses. A faster reading for when you want a quick perspective on a simple choice.
• Random Number — let the numbers around you decide: a clock, a license plate, anything you happen to notice. The reading meets you where you already are.

Each reading shows you the primary hexagram, the changing lines, and (when applicable) the hexagram you're moving toward. The text — the Judgment, the Image, and the individual line statements — is drawn from James Legge's 1882 English translation, in the public domain and credited in the app.

Tap "Interpret with AI" on any reading to get a short, plain-language reflection in your own language. The AI commentary is meant as a starting point for your own thinking, never as a prediction or a recommendation. Limited to one interpretation per day so it stays an aid to reflection, not a habit.
