Ask Bubu: Bus & MRT Assistant

Ask Bubu is the assistant for getting around Singapore. Instead of tapping through stops and services, just ask, the way you'd text a friend:

• "30 dakota": when bus 30 comes at Dakota
• "dakota to changi": the way there, by MRT, by bus or both
• "circle line ok?": whether the trains are running
• "last train raffles place", "fare bedok to jurong east", "chicken rice near me"
• "ezlink balance": your card's balance and trips

Or tap the mic and say it. On an iPhone, just say "Hey Siri, Ask Bubu".

YOUR EZ-LINK CARD
Ask "ezlink balance" and hold your EZ-Link or NETS FlashPay card to your phone: its balance, the day it's valid till, and your recent trips, each train ride with its stations and each bus ride with its service. It's read on your phone and never sent anywhere. Needs a phone with NFC.

WHEN'S MY BUS?
The next buses at any stop, live from LTA: how full each one is, whether it's a single-deck, double-deck or bendy bus, the berth it leaves from at an interchange, and the first and last buses.

THE WAY THERE
By MRT, by bus or both, step by step: where to get on, where to change, how far to walk, the fare and the time it takes. Driving? The drive time, and car parks with lots free.

LIVE MAPS
Watch your bus on its way to the stop, see the way drawn on the map, and find the stops around you. The NUS and NTU campus shuttles too.

TRAINS AND MORE
Whether the MRT is running, how crowded a station is, its exits and lifts, the first and last trains. And the weather, the PSI, the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints, taxi stands and bicycle parking.

ENGLISH AND CHINESE
Ask in English or in Chinese, and Bubu answers in the same.

No account. Your chats, bookmarks and saved places ("home", "office") stay on your phone. Location is optional. Bubu's answers come from our own server and public data; your question is never sent to another AI service.

Bubu is a fuzzy little bus with an SG badge. It says good morning, tells the odd joke while you wait for a long bus, and stays polite even when you're not.

Ask Bubu is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency, transport operator, card issuer or university, including LTA, NEA, SBS Transit, SMRT, EZ-Link, NETS, SimplyGo, NUS and NTU.

Contains information from the Land Transport Authority (LTA DataMall and data.gov.sg), the Public Transport Council's fare tables (data.gov.sg) and the National Environment Agency's weather forecasts and air quality readings (data.gov.sg), made available under the terms of the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0.
