- Writing brings clarity: James Pennebaker’s research on expressive writing points to a simple idea: organizing inner experience into language can help people sort through their feelings.
- Slower thinking: Anxiety can push you into your first reaction. askr’s pace creates room to slow down.
- Small-step clarification: Cognitive load theory reminds us that stress makes it hard to process too much at once. askr breaks overthinking into smaller parts.
- Save key insights: Truth Backpack and Cognitive Cards help you save sentences that matter, so you can review them later.
HOW TO USE
- Write down what is bothering you right now. It can be short, such as "I can’t sleep lately," "I don’t know whether to quit my job," or "I’m afraid of disappointing people."
- askr analyzes your concern, then asks several key questions.
- Answer any question, or skip parts you are not ready to answer.
- Tap "Keep Questioning Me" to explore further, or "Give Me Suggestions" when you want a practical next direction.
- Long-press or select important text to save it to Truth Backpack and Cognitive Cards.
- Use Review to revisit your history and cards.
USE CASES
- Focus: before exams, essays, plans, or interviews, clarify "What if I mess this up?" and bring attention back to the task.
