Description by Jaylen Coleman(from the App Store)
Turn practice video into movement data you can use Athletic Training Portal (ATP) helps coaches and athletic trainers better understand how their athletes move. Using video recorded on an iPhone, ATP measures joint angles and range of motion and tracks how an athlete’s movement changes over time. It can be used during practice or for baseline testing, without any special equipment.
Built for coaches ATP is built to work alongside a team’s normal training routine. Coaches can check movement quickly during practice, review more detailed results later, and follow each athlete’s progress over the course of the season.
Capture movement from the field Coaches can record an athlete directly from an iPhone. Quick Capture provides joint-angle measurements within seconds, making it useful for checking a movement between reps. For larger sessions, multiple videos can also be uploaded at once and reviewed later.
Track baselines and progress Coaches can establish a baseline for important movements and re-test athletes throughout the season. ATP compares new results to the athlete’s own baseline and a target for that movement, making it easy to see where they have improved and where they may still be limited.
Biomechanical insights Each capture includes joint-angle and range-of-motion data, along with a 2D skeleton overlay and 3D movement replay for a closer look. Athletes are compared to their own previous results rather than ranked against teammates, so the focus stays on individual progress.
Monitor athletes throughout the season The dashboard gives staff one place to view ROM trends, baseline history, and assessment results across the roster. From there, they can look more closely at an individual athlete when something stands out.
Make more informed decisions ATP is not meant to replace a coach or trainer’s judgment. It gives them more information to work with. ATP tracks changes in range of motion, asymmetries, and movement patterns over time. This information can help staff make more informed decisions about training, workload, and return-to-play.
Who it’s for ATP is built for strength and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, sports scientists, and performance staff who want a simple way to test movement and monitor athletes throughout a season.
