The Watch tab plays short videos of true stories, from the Colosseum's retractable roof to the women's rights of ancient Egypt. The shorts are AI reconstructions; many lead straight into the full lesson.

Paintings, artefacts and archival photographs from public collections, credited on every image, plus original illustrations. Lessons are reviewed for accuracy, and we correct errors when readers report them.

Aurelius requires an Aurelius Pro subscription after onboarding, with a 3-day free trial where you are eligible. Choose a monthly or yearly plan; the price is shown in the app before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.
