Description by David Gallant(from the App Store)
AWOSLOG Pilot is a cockpit instrument for backcountry and VFR pilots. Open the app and immediately see what matters: groundspeed, altitude, density altitude, nearby ADS-B traffic, and weather conditions at the closest stations — including backcountry AWOSLOG stations not found on any other aviation app.
No login. No setup. No flight planning. Just open it and fly.
FLIGHT DATA Groundspeed, GPS altitude, and real-time density altitude computed from your phone's barometer and the nearest station's temperature.
TRAFFIC Network sourced ADS-B targets displayed as clock-position callouts with N-number, distance, and relative altitude. Filtered to 50NM and below FL180 — see the traffic that matters, not airliners overhead.
WEATHER Nearest 25 stations sorted by distance, showing wind, DA, and flight category. AWOSLOG backcountry stations provide weather at remote strips where no other source exists.
DESIGNED FOR THE COCKPIT Black background, large bold fonts, single screen. Readable at a glance on a kneeboard in a bright, bouncy airplane. Screen stays awake while active.
Powered by awoslog.com and the AWOSLOG backcountry weather station network.
