BandScore: Interactive Scores

BandScore — practice and play with audio, scores, and your band.

iPhone, iPad, and Mac. English, German, French, Spanish.

Free version: up to 5 songs, 1 audio file per song

Simple mode
- Import audio files to create songs
- Audio player with adjustable playback speed and pitch (transpose or fine-tune)
- Set markers and play ranges for looping
- Import lyrics and view them in sync with playback
- Organize songs into sets, including last played and recent sets
- Songs sync via iCloud across your Apple devices
- Tours, function search, settings filter, Siri, and Shortcuts

Advanced mode
- Import scores: Guitar Pro (GPX/GP2/GP3/GP4/GP5/GP/GP7), MusicXML, or MIDI
- Add an audio playback file or an Apple Music track
- Display the score as guitar tab, regular staff, percussion staff, percussion tab, piano staff, or piano tab

Score player (Advanced mode)
- Scrolling score with play position and note highlighting
- Adjust playback speed and audio pitch
- Loop playback; optional count-in
- Define one or more play ranges (start/end)
- Optionally play score notes with the built-in MIDI player

Lead sheet (Advanced mode)
- Scrolling sheet with lyrics and chord symbols
- Play along with the audio track

WITH PLAYER VERSION (In-App Purchase) YOU RECEIVE IN ADDITION:

- Manage unlimited number of songs (device and iCloud storage restrictions apply)
- Multiple playback files (audio tracks) per song

Playlists:
- Assign songs to one or multiple playlists

Recording:
- Record from a connected instrument
- Mix your recording with the song playback tracks for playback and export
- Add audio processing (volume, pan, EQ, compressor, reverb) for the recording

Band network (Advanced mode):
- Connect nearby BandScore devices and sync song selection and play start/stop
- Send songs, play settings, and messages to peers

Audio Separation:
- Split audio on device into vocals, drums, bass, piano, and other stems (no cloud, no extra fee)
- Mac with Apple silicon; iPhone 13 or newer; iPad Pro (2018+); iPad Air (2022+)

Page-turn keys:
- Page-turn keys or a Bluetooth pedal for transport control in lead sheet and player
- Define command for keys in Settings

- All the features from the Player version
- Create new songs from scratch using score editor and chord list editor

Song parts:
- Add, delete or merge song parts

Score editing (NOT AVAILABLE on iPhone — iPad and Mac only):
- Add, delete, copy, paste measures, notes, chords
- Transpose, quantize, bends, slides, hammer-ons/pull-offs
- Chord signs, lyrics, and comments
- Align tempo from detected transients and beats
- Cut, delay, or insert silence in audio
- Markers and MIDI program or control changes

Lyric editor:
- Edit lyric text and times on the beat grid
- Follow playback or align times to the vocals
- Import from internet, LRC, or text; extract from audio (macOS/iOS 26)

Chord list editor:
- Sections and section order in text or grid
- Transpose, find and replace, key, chord names
- Import chord sheets (chord and lyric lines)
- Retrieve chords from the score across parts

Export:
- Export BandScore files, MIDI, PDF (score, lead sheet, lyrics), LRC, and more

MIDI:
- Send defined MIDI controls while playing

Mac:
- Menu bar, shortcuts, context menus, and extra windows
- Command-click or Shift-click to select songs
- Score selection details in its own window

Purchases are tied to your Apple ID and work across your devices. Score editing is on iPad and Mac only. Lyric editor, chord lists, song parts, and export are also on iPhone.

Optional anonymous usage analytics (opt-in): BandScore may collect sparse product-interaction events (app opens, upgrade funnel, Assistant outcomes) to improve the app. Song titles and chat message content are not collected.
