BareText – The Simple Text Editor for iPad

Sometimes you don’t need a notes app.
Or a cloud service.
Just a file.

BareText opens and edits .txt and .rtf files directly in the Files app — at their original location, without duplicates and without version chaos.

Clear & focused

• Edit files directly at their original location
• Minimal, distraction-free editor
• Full keyboard support (⌘F search, ⌘P print)
• Quickly create new documents

Supports multiple text formats

In addition to .txt and .rtf, you can also open and edit other text-based files such as .json, .csv, .html, .css, .js and .php.

Ideal for quickly reviewing or adjusting text files — without complex developer tools.

Private & independent

• No tracking
• No subscriptions
• Pay once — use forever

Minimal. Direct. File-based.
