Two classic Austrian card games in one app: Bauernschnapsen for four, and Schnapsen for two. Play the computer whenever you like, with no account and no internet, or sit down online with friends or other players anywhere. On an Apple TV, the TV becomes the table for the whole room.
Bauernschnapsen
Also called Viererschnapsen: you and your partner against two opponents, played with the Doppeldeutsche cards in the William Tell pattern (Herz, Schelle, Eichel and Blatt, each with Ass, Ten, König, Ober and Unter).
• The deal is three and two. The forehand calls trump after seeing only the first three cards, or says Auf.
• Once all five cards are dealt, anyone may overcall with a higher game. The called trump stands.
• Rufer, Bettler, Schnapser, Gangl, Zehnerloch and Bauer, each with its own points, plus Farbringerl, Spritzer and Retour.
• Marriages: König and Ober of a suit are worth 20, or 40 in trump.
• A Bummerl goes to 24 points, and a match is the best of three: the first to win two Bummerl takes it.
Schnapsen
The two-player game, also known as Sixty-Six.
• Race to 66 card points with five cards each and the talon beside you.
• Exchange the trump Unter, close the talon, and announce your marriages at the right moment.
• First to 7 points wins the Bummerl; a match is the best of three, and a Schneiderbummerl counts twice.
Play online
• Play with anyone: sit down at a table with other players. The computer fills any empty seats after a short wait.
• Play with friends: start a table and share its code. Friends join from anywhere, in the app or in any web browser. Only the people you give the code to can join, and there is no chat.
• An account is optional and free: just your email, no password. Sign in with a code by email, or with Face ID or Touch ID. Download or delete your account at any time in the app.
• Your profile: your name, one of 30 faces or your own photo and, if you like, your country's flag. Add friends by code, see who's online and invite them.
• Your own record, a rating for each game, and 64 medals to win, from bronze to platinum. A leaderboard for all time, this month and today.
• The Daily Deal: the same five hands for everyone, every day, with a daily board.
Premium
• Playing the computer is free, always.
• Starting a game online, the weekly tournaments and groups need Premium, a subscription by the month or the year with a week's free trial. Friends who join your table with its code play free.
• Signed in, Premium follows you to all your devices and the website. Family Sharing is on.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the period, in your Apple Account's subscription settings.
On the Apple TV
• Play on your own with the Siri Remote, against the computer.
• Or open a table for the room: everyone holds their cards on their own phone, with the app or just a browser, and the TV shows the table for all to watch. Join on the same Wi-Fi, or scan the code on screen.
• Sign in on the TV by scanning a QR code with your phone.
At the table
• Computer players who call, overcall, double and play like real opponents, and a partner who backs you up.
• Table calls in Austrian voices, from „Weida“ to „Gstochn!“, and music from an Austrian Stube.
• Three levels, easy, medium and hard, and three speeds: relaxed, normal or quick.
• Score bars for the game, the Bummerl and the match, and the rules in the game.
• On iPhone, iPad and Mac your match is saved after every card.
On iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV
• Your names, settings and history follow you between your iPhone, iPad and Mac through your own iCloud.
• In English and Austrian German, following the language of your device.
• Classic Doppeldeutsche cards, scanned in fine detail.
• No ads and no tracking.
