The verse of the day is shown in the translation you are reading. A reminder at noon brings that verse while the app is closed. Press Listen to hear a chapter, or a single verse, in your phone's voice.
Search finds John 3:16, a whole verse, or a sentence even when a few words are wrong.
Every verse opens into a context view. Tap any verse to see:
• Cross-references — passages that quote, echo, or sit beside this one (Treasury of Scripture Knowledge) • Greek or Hebrew with Strong's lexicon — tap any word for its meaning, its grammar, and other verses that use it • A plain-English line for what the verse is saying • Verse type and the context of the passage • Study notes from Tyndale, Jamieson-Fausset-Brown, and Matthew Henry, written out in today's English • A short summary of the chapter
Personal study tools:
• Highlight verses in six colors • Save notes. They are private unless you choose to share one. • Bookmark up to five verses • A prayer journal that marks prayers as answered
Community:
• Follow other readers. Follows stay in sync on every device signed into the same account. • See public highlights and notes from people you follow • Read the built-in plans, or sign in to create and share your own • Search people by username or name
Two themes:
• Noah theme (dark) — cathedral stone, leather, parchment, blood red, and gold • Allie theme (light) — cream parchment, pastoral green, royal gold, and soft pink
Sign in with Apple or Google to sync your notes, highlights, bookmarks, prayers, follows, and plan progress. Signing in is optional. Reading, cross-references, Greek and Hebrew, notes, highlights, bookmarks, and the built-in plans all work offline without an account.
The study notes come from public-domain, Bible-believing scholars. Scripture is the final authority.
