Whether an app supports custom fonts is always up to that app.
WHERE THE BIONIC READING® FONTS DON’T WORK.
Apple doesn’t allow custom fonts everywhere. They definitely don’t work in: the system interface (Home Screen, Settings), Apple Notes, Messages/iMessage, Safari, Apple Books, or virtually all social media and messenger apps such as Instagram, TikTok, or WhatsApp – these apps always use their own, fixed fonts. Currently, they also don’t work in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, since these apps don’t support custom fonts – on iPhone and iPad alike.
WHO IS THE APP FOR?
For everyone who reads and writes a lot – on iPhone as well as iPad. For school, university, work, and creative projects in apps like Pages, GoodNotes, or Procreate.
Many people with ADHD, dyslexia, or other reading difficulties report that Bionic Reading® helps them grasp and understand content faster.
Bionic Reading® is not a medical product and does not replace diagnosis or therapy. But for many people, it can be a real “Game Changer” in everyday life.
MORE POSSIBILITIES ON MAC.
On the Mac, Bionic Reading® opens up even more possibilities – as a classic desktop font, usable in virtually any program. The Bionic Reading® Fonts for Mac are a separate product, available directly at bionic-reading.com.
ALSO FOR CHAT AND SOCIAL MEDIA APPS.
If you’d like to use Bionic Reading® in chat and social media apps specifically, we recommend our app “Bionic Reading® Font Keyboard” (available separately on the App Store) – it works on a different principle and writes Bionic Reading® directly in virtually any typing app.
