BioScanner Elite

BioScanner Elite is a free bio-banding aid for coaches and parents of youth athletes. Two players born in the same year can be years apart biologically; these estimates help you see past birth date when thinking about training load, matching and development.

TWO MATURITY METHODS
• Khamis-Roche (recommended): predicts adult height from age, height, weight and both biological parents' heights, and shows the percentage of adult height already reached, the measure used for bio-banding. Boys and girls, ages 4 to 17.5. Self-reported parent heights are corrected automatically.
• Mirwald: estimates years from peak height velocity from age, height, sitting height and weight, for when the parents' heights are unknown (boys).
• Each result comes with a maturity band (pre-, early, mid- or late pubertal, or Pre-, Circa- or Post-PHV) and short coaching notes.
• The exact arithmetic and the source papers are listed under Settings → About.
• Metric or imperial input. Rejects impossible measurements and flags results outside each method's validated range.

FACE AGE ESTIMATE (OPTIONAL)
• Take one photo of the athlete's face and get an estimated age. Save it on its own, or alongside a maturity estimate.
• Runs entirely on the iPhone with Apple's Vision framework and a small built-in model. The photo is deleted immediately and never uploaded.
• A rough impression (typical error about ±5 years); it never changes the maturity estimate.

KEEP A LOCAL HISTORY
• Save assessments on the device and reopen any report later.
• Delete individual records or purge everything with one tap.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No accounts, no sign-in, no cloud sync, no analytics, no ads.
• Nothing you enter and no photo you take is ever uploaded. All processing happens on the device.
