Description by Dmitry Mashkin(from the App Store)
Log a glucose reading in seconds, on your iPhone or Apple Watch — then see what your week actually looks like.
Blood Sugar Journal is a calm, private diary for glucose, insulin, carbs and HbA1c. No account, no sign-up, no ads. Your entries stay on your device and sync through your own iCloud.
IMPORTANT
Blood Sugar Journal is a diary and pattern-tracking tool. It does not give medical advice, does not prescribe treatment, and does not replace your doctor or a licensed healthcare professional.
WHAT YOU TRACK
• Glucose Log values in mmol/L or mg/dL and follow the day curve.
• Short and long insulin Kept separate, so doses line up against glucose over time.
• Meals and carbs Logged in carb units, with your own grams-per-unit setting.
• HbA1c Watch the long-term trend next to your daily records.
FROM YOUR WRIST
The Apple Watch app logs glucose, insulin and food without taking your phone out, and keeps your latest reading on the wrist. Entries sync back to iPhone on their own.
APPLE HEALTH, BOTH WAYS
Import glucose readings that are already in Apple Health — from a meter or a CGM — into your journal. Export your own entries back to Health whenever you want.
WHAT YOU SEE
• Time in Range, average glucose and standard deviation for the last 7 days • The day curve, and days compared side by side • Weekly trends for glucose, insulin and carbs • A chronological journal of everything you logged
PDF REPORTS FOR APPOINTMENTS
Generate a 7- or 30-day report with your profile, key metrics, charts and the full list of entries, paginated so nothing is cut off. Hand it over at the appointment or send it ahead.
INSIGHTS, WITH A CHOICE
The free version writes observations on your device from your own entries — timing patterns, gaps in your data, days that stand out. Nothing leaves your iPhone.
Blood Sugar Journal Pro adds AI-written weekly summaries. To produce them, your entries together with your age, sex and weight are sent to our server and on to an AI provider. Your name is never sent, and one switch in Profile turns this off entirely — the app then falls back to on-device analysis. The summaries describe patterns and the limits of your data; they never suggest doses or treatment.
PRIVACY
• No account, no sign-up • No ads, no advertising SDKs, no tracking • Entries live on your device and in your own iCloud • One action erases everything, on the device and in iCloud
