Description by Lei Michael Lu(from the App Store)
Most people remember only a fraction of the books they read.
Afterword helps you track books, capture ideas, and revisit the insights that matter most.
Instead of turning reading into a noisy social feed or a gamified leaderboard, Afterword is designed as a thoughtful companion for serious readers.
Track Your Reading
Quickly add books to your library and keep a clean record of what you're reading.
• Track books you want to read • Log books you’ve finished • See what you’re reading now • Search your personal library instantly
Whether you read a few books a year or dozens, your reading history becomes a living timeline of ideas.
Capture What Matters
When you finish a book, save the one idea that stayed with you.
Instead of long reviews or ratings you’ll never revisit, Afterword encourages a simple reflection:
What stayed with you?
Over time, your library becomes more than a list of books—it becomes a collection of ideas.
Revisit Books That Shaped You
Afterword helps you rediscover insights from books you’ve already read.
The app can surface:
• Books you finished in past years • Ideas you wrote down earlier • Authors you return to again and again
Reading becomes a continuous conversation with your past self.
Understand Your Reading
See how your reading evolves over time.
• Books finished this year • Your most read authors • Reading activity over time • Your growing library of ideas
These insights help you build a meaningful reading habit without turning reading into a competition.
Import Your Reading History
Already track books in a spreadsheet or notes app?
Import your past reading and instantly build your personal reading timeline.
Designed for Thoughtful Readers
Afterword avoids the noise found in many book apps.
No social feeds. No popularity contests. No pressure to read more just for the numbers.
Just a calm place to track books and remember what mattered.
Build a Lifelong Reading Habit
Reading shapes how we think.
Afterword helps you:
• Track the books you read • Capture ideas worth keeping • Revisit insights over time
