BookFly: Library & Reading

BookFly is a reading habit tracker and a home library for the books you own. Note your page, set a goal if you want one, and photograph a shelf to count its books, free.

TRACK YOUR READING HABIT
- Note the page you are on, and see your place in every book on the go
- A reading goal if you want one: books a month or a year, or pages a day, a week or a month. No streak to break, and nothing turns red
- A reminder at the time you pick. Fall behind and BookFly never reminds you more often
- See where you stand: on pace, and how many to go
There is no goal until you set one, and tracking your reading is free.

YOUR LIBRARY FROM A PHOTO
Point your camera at a bookshelf and BookFly counts the books in the photo, on your phone, free. You see the number before you are asked for anything, and that number is a promise: the list you get back has at least that many rows.
- With a plan, titles and authors read off every spine it can, up to 5 shelf photos a day
- A spine it cannot read comes back as a row with a crop of your own spine, never silently dropped
- One book at a time too: photograph its cover
- Tick the names that are right, then mark the ones you have finished
- Photograph a shelf again later and see what is new and what is no longer there

KEEP IT YOUR WAY
- Sort every book into Read, Reading, To read or Not read
- Search, sort and select many at once, with a place for every shelf in the house
- Lend a book and see who has it and for how long
- Catch a duplicate before you buy a third copy
- Keep a wishlist of books you want and do not own yet
- Note a copy's edition if you care to: format, year, publisher, translator
- Add books by hand whenever you like

WEEKLY PICKS FROM YOUR OWN SHELVES
With a plan, up to ten books a week you do not own yet, based on the ones you do. Say you own one, add it to your wishlist, or mark it not for you.

CHAT ABOUT YOUR BOOKS
With BookFly + Chat, ask what to read next from what you already own, or ask about a book while you are reading it or after you finish. Each question goes with a short list from your library, titles and authors only.

NO ACCOUNT, EVER
No email, no password, nothing to sign into. No ads and no analytics. Your library is kept on your phone and BookFly keeps no copy of it anywhere else. Back up your library to a file whenever you like, and open it on your next phone.

WHAT IT COSTS
The app is free. Tracking your reading, counting books, adding them by hand and keeping your library are free. Naming books from a photo and the weekly picks need a plan:
- BookFly: $2.99 a week or $34.99 a year
- BookFly + Chat, which adds Chat: $4.99 a week or $59.99 a year
Prices are in US dollars and differ by country. Cancel any time under Subscriptions in your Apple Account, at least a day before it renews. If you cancel, your library stays on your phone and stays yours.

Start with the book you are reading, or photograph your first shelf and see the count, free.
