Breezy: Mindful Vibrations

Whether you're looking to drift off to sleep, relax, or be more present, Breezy may be able to help. Breezy works right on your phone so you can use it anywhere, anytime. Breezy can be effective with just a few minutes of use.

There are two categories of experiences in Breezy–Pure Vibrations and Guided Meditations.

Pure Vibrations is a vibration-only mode where the vibrations repeat in a soothing manner. The current experiences offered are: Fall Asleep, Relax, Clear your Mind, and Feel Cat Purring.

Guided Meditations blend guided narration, sound (like breath or heartbeats), and timed vibrations for a fully immersive experience! The experiences offered are: Long Deep Breathing, Heartbeat, and Quick Calm Down.

To use Breezy, simply:
1. Select your experience
2. Adjust the duration (Pure Vibrations only) and intensity to what feels right for you
3. Press play

Your phone will likely sleep at the end of the experience, depending on your phone’s settings.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended to put your phone in Do Not Disturb mode so that you don’t have any distractions or feel any buzzes from texts or calls. Breezy also works in Airplane Mode in case you don't want an active phone on your body.

METHOD:
Breezy is best experienced laying or sitting down with the phone in the middle of your chest. You can experiment with different parts of your body to find the most comfortable and impactful location for you. For a stronger sensation, hold the phone in place. You can also just hold the phone in your hand if you like.

WHO BREEZY IS FOR:
We’ve heard from many Breezy users about the successes they’ve had. Here are some of the most common uses:

• Mindfulness and meditation practitioners have been using Breezy to help them get into a calm state with better focus during meditations.

• Schools are recommending Breezy as a tool for children to use to help them regulate their neurological and emotional states. The Fall Asleep vibrations have been helpful with quieting the mind and lulling the user to sleep. The Relax vibrations have helped bring children out of heightened anxious or agitated states.

• Psychotherapists are recommending Breezy to their patients, in particular Veterans with PTSD. Members of this population have reported falling asleep easily and experiencing feelings of tranquility.

IS BREEZY BACKED BY SCIENCE?
There haven’t been any scientific studies conducted with Breezy, though that is a likelihood in the future.

The principles, however, are backed by science. There are numerous peer-reviewed studies demonstrating positive effects of haptic vibrations for sleep, relaxation, and improved heart rate variability.
