5:55 PM. The most dangerous minute of the workday. The moment you grab your bag, a voice behind you says: "Got a sec?"
27 bosses stand between you and your commute, your bed and your morning train. The Got-a-Sec Manager, the Paper-Eating Copier, the Mosquito by My Ear, the Sardine-Can Bus... Some are people, some are not. Take them all down with a single deck of flower cards.
■ MATCH THE MONTHS, SCORE THE SETS
Play a card from your hand to take a field card of the same month, then flip one from the deck for another chance. Collect Brights, Animals, Ribbons and Chaff to make sets like Godori and the Red, Blue and Plain Ribbons. Points × Mult beats the round's target and you win. Boss rounds add a twist: no points for Ribbons, only four cards on the field, or no Go at all. Special events like Lucky Four and Triple Jam pop up, and three question marks on the set sheet hide secret sets.
■ PLAY THE HAND YOU KEEP
Before the first move you get one Redraw: pick the cards you don't want and draw that many again. During the round you get two Swaps: bury a hand card under the deck and take the top one. Nobody knows what comes next, so choose what to keep.
■ GO? STOP?
Once you beat the target, the game asks. Go for more and the Mult climbs. But if the hand runs out before you score again, it's a Go Bust: no reward for that round, and you skip the Mart. Count the cards left, then choose.
■ YOUR OWN DECK, BUILT FROM OFFICE SUPPLIES
Between rounds you stop at the Mart and spend coupons on charms. Donor Card, Shoe Polish, Water Bottle, Phone Stand: 35 things you'd find in an office drawer, each one changing how scoring works.
You can rework the cards themselves too. Correction Tape turns a card into another month, a Bird Sticker makes a new bird Animal, and a Gold Star Stamp adds points. Changes last until the game ends.
■ CLOCK OUT → SLEEP TIGHT → MAKE IT IN
Act 1 "Clocked Out, Again", Act 2 "Slept Tight, Again", Act 3 "Made It In, Again". Each act has five fights. In the first four stages you choose an easy opponent, a mid one or a boss; the fifth is the act's final boss. You can see each opponent's rule before you pick, so prepare your charms. After Act 3 and the ending, keep going into Day 2, Day 3 and beyond.
How far you got is saved as a title: Last-train OT, Fitful doze, 1 min late. How far will you make it today?
■ 8 RANKS, 6 WORK BAGS
Seeing the ending unlocks the next rank, from Rookie all the way to Executive. Each step up adds one more rule. Work bags change your starting setup: extra coupons, Double Chaff, or a bonus card.
■ NEW TO HANAFUDA? DAJEONG HAS YOUR BACK
No need to know the rules. Asst. Mgr Dajeong from the next desk, clumsy but earnest, walks you through your first round. "At least YOU get out on time… for both of us!"
If the sets get confusing, open Learn on the home screen to see example cards for every set, and warm up with a practice round.
· Single-player only. There are no opponents, prizes or anything of real-world value in play
· Coupons are earned by winning rounds and used only at the Mart. They can't be bought, traded or exchanged for anything else
· Free to play to the end. A banner ad appears at the bottom of the home, Mart and game-result screens. Rewarded ads play only when you tap the button: "Free with ad" in the Mart before an act's boss, and retrying a lost round
· Clock-Out Pass (in-app purchase, buy once and keep it): removes the banner ad and gives ad rewards instantly, no ad. The number of rewards stays the same. Home › Settings › Clock-Out Pass
· No sign-in. Progress is saved on this device only
· No timers. Take as long as you like on every move
· Play in English, Korean, Japanese or Traditional Chinese (Home › Settings › Language)
· Free monochrome card art (Settings › Card art)
