Buteyko Breathing Coach

Buteyko Breathing guides you through the practices of the Buteyko method: breathe calmly through the nose, breathe a little less, and measure your Control Pause. Day by day you see how your breathing develops.

THE CONTROL PAUSE
After a normal exhale, pinch your nose and tap Start. At the first urge to breathe, tap again. The app shows your value in seconds, explains what it means and suggests the right practice for today.

GUIDED PRACTICES
• Measure Control Pause: one measurement, best right after waking up.
• Simple: calm breathing and measuring, without reduction.
• Step by step: breathe less for 1, 2, then 3 minutes, built up gently.
• Short, Standard and Meditative: breathe less, recover and measure, in different lengths.
• Custom protocol: set the phases and the number of measurements yourself.
Gentle tones and a vibration mark every change, so you can keep your eyes closed.

HISTORY AND DIARY
Every practice goes into the diary with its Control Pauses. The history shows the first measurement of each day over 7, 30 or 90 days, with average, best value and trend.

UNDERSTANDING BUTEYKO
In short: where the method comes from, how the Control Pause works, how to breathe less, and what research says about it.

GOOD TO KNOW
• No account, no ads. Your diary stays on your device.
• In English and German.
• Practise only sitting or lying down, never in or near water and never while driving. The app does not replace medical treatment. Never stop prescribed medication without talking to your doctor.
