Calendance

Your plans become your music.

Calendance turns events in your iPhone calendar into techno. Instead of making sounds or arranging notes, your days become the score. Choose the loops you like, combine them and add effects to perform live.

■ Your calendar is the score
・YEAR, MONTH, WEEK and DAY play together like a four-piece band
・Event colors shape the sound, and event lengths shape the notes. Busy stretches and open spaces both become part of the music
・The same days make the same sound. Familiar routines become familiar rhythms; when your plans change, the music changes too

■ Choose, mix, play
・Tap weekdays, weeks or months to loop your favorite parts and combine them
・Four dots turn each page's sound on or mute it. Press and hold to fade
・Choose an effect and trace the screen with two fingers to change the sound
・Set the tempo by entering a number, tapping along, or locking it

■ Dancers and the solo stage
・Dancers move to the sound of your plans
・Pick up a dancer and lift it to the solo stage. It dances in your event colors in front of large dates
・The screen darkens while the music plays, turning it into a time for dance

■ Share with friends
・Use "share my days…" between two nearby iPhones to share the pattern of your plans
・Event titles and locations are not sent

■ Getting started
・Press ▶ to start
・Tap the large title at the top left, then "how to play" to see where to touch
・No calendar access? Try "demo people" and hear how other lives sound

Best with earphones or speakers.
