Calendar NG

Calendar NG is your go-to companion for staying on top of every Nigerian public holiday in 2026. Designed with clarity and ease of use in mind, the app brings together all 14 official holidays in one beautifully crafted experience – whether you prefer browsing by calendar or scrolling through a detailed list.

The app now features home screen and lock screen widgets so you can keep track of upcoming holidays without even opening the app. The Next Holiday widget shows the name of the nearest holiday along with a live countdown in days, available in both small and medium sizes. The medium widget also includes a short description of the holiday's cultural background. For a broader view, the Monthly Calendar widget displays the full current month with holidays marked, set against a beautiful Nigerian-themed background.

Switch between a scrollable month-by-month calendar view and a comprehensive holiday list that highlights each occasion with its date, day of the week, and a countdown showing how far away it is. Tap any holiday to read about its cultural and religious significance – from Independence Day and Democracy Day to Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, and Christmas.

Every screen in the app, along with all widgets, supports both light and dark mode for comfortable viewing at any time of day. The landscape layout on supported devices presents the calendar and holiday list side by side for quick reference.

Whether you are a Nigerian resident, part of the diaspora, an expatriate, a tourist planning a visit, or simply curious about Nigeria's diverse traditions, Calendar NG helps you plan your year with confidence.
