Calorie Burndown answers one question the Health app doesn't: given what you've eaten and burned today, how much room do you have left? It reads those numbers straight from HealthKit, does the arithmetic against a goal you set, and shows the answer on your phone, your Lock Screen, and your wrist.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Calorie Burndown doesn't log food and doesn't estimate your metabolism — it reads what's already in Health. So you'll want a calorie-tracking app writing what you eat to Health, and an Apple Watch recording what you burn. If you already track both, this turns them into a number neither one gives you. If you don't, this app has nothing to read and won't be much use.

The Watch app queries HealthKit directly, independent of your phone, so you get a real-time deficit number on a run or at the gym even if you left your phone at home. Settings and progress stay in sync across devices whenever they're near each other.

A simple weekly check-in helps you see the bigger trend, not just today's number, and History charts your weight against the pace your target implies.
