CardCue Pro: Gift Card Wallet

There are gift cards in your junk drawer right now. Americans are holding about $27 billion in unused gift cards and store credit (Bankrate, 2024), and some of it is yours. Not because you are forgetful. Because there has never been a good place to keep it.

CardCue Pro is the gift card wallet that remembers every card you forget you have, and speaks up when you are near a place that takes one. Snap a photo, and Cue takes it from there. Card photos are read by secure cloud AI to fill in your card details for you, or flip the switch right on the camera to keep any photo on your iPhone.

WHO IS CUE?
Cue is a pika. She showed up one day and kind of runs the place now. Her specialty is chirps (pika for notifications): a quiet nudge at the exact moment a card becomes useful, like when you walk into a store you have credit for.

HOW IT WORKS
- Snap a photo. Cue reads the card: brand, balance, barcode, and expiration.
- Go about your day. Your cards wait quietly in your wallet.
- Walk near the store. Cue chirps: "you have $40 here."
- Tap your phone. The barcode is on screen, ready for the register.
- A few cards, like single-use certificates and older magnetic-stripe cards, still have to be presented in person. Cue tells you which, tracks the value, and reminds you to bring them.

WHAT CUE DOES FOR YOU
- Reads cards from a photo, so there is no typing.
- Shows the scannable barcode at the register.
- Opens the store's own balance page, fills in your card number, and saves the answer when it comes back.
- Reminds you before a card expires or a dormancy fee hits.
- Notices when you are near a store you have a card for.
- Keeps loyalty and punch cards moving toward the next reward.
- Sends a gift card to a friend by text, email, or AirDrop, free for everyone.
- Adds cards with a scannable barcode to Apple Wallet, alongside your other passes (needs a free account).
- Works on iPhone and Apple Watch, with Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets.

FREE, OR GO PRO
Keep three cards free, forever, plus 5 smart scans to start you off. Free also gets you unlimited on-device scanning, nearby nudges, the Watch app, widgets, backup, and Year in Review. Pro lifts the three-card cap, makes smart scan unlimited, and restores your cards onto your other devices.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your card numbers and PINs are sensitive. Card numbers are encrypted on your device before they back up, so the copies on our servers are unreadable to us, and your PIN stays in the iOS Keychain, never in that backup. Two features are the exception, and you choose both: adding a card to Apple Wallet builds the pass on our server, and sending a card as a gift wraps it in a sealed package only your recipient can open. Scanning is its own choice: by default the card photo goes to a secure cloud AI for accuracy, a switch on the camera keeps any single scan on your iPhone, and a Settings default makes on-device the standard if you prefer. We do not track you across other apps, and we do not sell your data.

CUE IS GOOD AT HER JOB
She is good at picking the right moment, and she gets better the more you use her. Too many nudges? She backs off. The ones that matter still get through.

Stop paying full price with a card for that exact store sitting at home. Your money deserves better than the junk drawer. Get CardCue Pro.
