Com esta nova aplicação pode partilhar informação muito diversa, como os alertas do IPMA, ocorrências da Proteção Civil, notícias, farmácias de serviço, eventos culturais e muito mais. Pode, ainda, reportar anaomalias e fazer sugestões relativas ao seu território.

A aplicação Castro Daire + PRÓximo cria um novo canal de comunicação, facilitando a aproximação do Município aos seus cidadãos e turistas. O munícipe tem a oportunidade de colaborar ativamente na melhoria do Município, participando ocorrências do seu Concelho. O turista pode usufruir da vantagem de ter concentrado no mesmo sítio toda a informação sobre o Município, permitindo-lhe explorar o território em realidade aumentada.

A aplicação integra a Gestão Documental (MyDoc) com os Serviços Online da Câmara Municipal.
