Cellophane Crate is a sampler, slicer, and loop performance instrument for iPhone. Start with the included sounds or import your own audio, then turn it into something you can play.

PLAY AND LAYER
A Cel holds up to four samples. Layer samples and Cels across tracks, balance their levels, mute individual sounds, and change the tempo. Save your arrangement as a Set and recall it from Crate.

SHAPE YOUR SOUND
Open Slice to choose regions across four waveforms. Move slice windows and refine a region in the single-wave editor. For prepared songs, apply slice templates. Save a cut to Samples or keep a new Cel for your next performance.

BRING YOUR AUDIO
Import four aligned stem files as one song, or bring in a folder of samples, loops, and one-shots from Files. For stem sets, enter the tempo and first downbeat to establish a shared grid. For samples, keep their natural timing or use local tempo, beat, and bar detection, then review and adjust the result. Open compatible Cellophane packages and ZIP bundles from Files, or download a shared bundle from an HTTPS link.

KEEP THE PERFORMANCE
Use Tape to record the music playing inside Cellophane. Keep your samples, Cels, Collections, and Sets in your Crate.

Playback, editing, and timing analysis run on your device. Included and imported sounds can be played offline; downloading a shared bundle requires an internet connection. No account, subscription, or in-app purchase is required.

Use audio you own or have permission to use. This release imports existing stems; it does not separate mixed recordings into stems.
