Tell the app your level once. All the titles in the catalog are graded on the CEFR scale from their real dialogue, so Browse puts the ones that fit you first. Pick your streaming region and it also shows where each title plays. If a show you want is missing, you can ask for it.
An episode comes with the words and expressions it uses most, taken from its own dialogue and ranked by how often you'll hear them, with a translation and an example sentence for each. About a third of them are slang, marked casual or vulgar, with where they're used when they're regional and, usually, the everyday word to say instead. Vulgar words stay hidden unless you turn them on in Settings. A season also gets one list of all its words. Save the ones you want.
The catalog names the accent of every title: Castilian, Mexican, Colombian, Argentine and more. The words are recorded in a voice from that country, so what you hear in the app sounds like the show.
Saved words go into your Collection, grouped by the show they came from. With an account, they come back for review on a spaced-repetition schedule, and you can set a daily reminder for the time that suits you. Reviews ask in different ways. You might pick the meaning, listen, fill a gap in a sentence or type the word. They also tell you when a word is slang and what to say instead.
The free plan covers the whole catalog and each episode's essential words, and you can hear every word you can open. Pro opens every word and expression in every episode and season list. You can subscribe without making an account.
Pro is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. It renews automatically until canceled in your Apple account settings. Terms: https://cereal.show/terms - Privacy: https://cereal.show/privacy
