Chasify Tracker

Chasify Tracker is the location companion for Chasify, the app for playing real-world hide & seek games with your friends. Some hide, others hunt. No game master, no manual location sharing.

Chasify runs the game in your browser: the live map, game zones and the replay afterwards. This app does one job: it sends your position to your game while you play, and it keeps doing so reliably in the background.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Create or join a game on chasify.io.
2. Open Chasify Tracker and connect with the link or QR code, or enter the game code and PIN.
3. Tap start. Once the first GPS signal arrives, your device shows up live on the map.

FEATURES
• Background tracking: keeps sending your location while your screen is off or the app is closed
• Live status: shows GPS quality, connection and the time of your last upload
• Simple setup: join via link, QR code, or game code and PIN
• Works with all Chasify game features: pings, game zones, blocks and speedhunts
• No registration: pick a name and play

YOUR DATA
Chasify Tracker collects your precise location, including in the background and while the app is closed, but only while you have started tracking. It also sends altitude, speed, step cadence (steps per minute) and battery level. Location is shared with the other participants of your game. All session data is deleted automatically 7 days after the game. You can stop tracking at any time with one tap.

The app shows a notification while tracking is active and asks to be excluded from battery optimization, so iOS does not stop tracking in the background.
