Welcome to Checkpath Duel — a fast-paced logic puzzle inspired by the elegance of chess and the thrill of time-based challenges. This game turns classic chess movement into compact, brain-teasing levels where precision, planning, and speed decide every outcome. Clean visuals and intuitive controls make each duel feel focused and satisfying.

In every level, you control one or more blue chess pieces placed on a grid. Your objective is clear: reach and capture the red target piece. Each level features different chess pieces, and each one moves exactly as it would on a real chessboard. Tap a piece to select it, and its full movement path is highlighted across the grid, helping you visualize your strategy before committing to a move.

Time adds pressure and excitement. You have one minute to solve each level. If the timer runs out, the level is considered failed. A move counter tracks how many steps you take, purely for fun and feedback at the end of the round. When you succeed, you’re rewarded with coins and shown how quickly and efficiently you completed the challenge.

The game includes 10 fully playable levels that introduce mechanics and increase complexity step by step. An additional 20 levels are locked and marked as coming soon, teasing future content. After completing the available levels, players are greeted with a message confirming their progress and letting them know that new challenges are on the way.

Coins earned from completed levels can be used to unlock helpful boosts or special modes. Slow down the timer for a short moment when things get tight, skip a level if you’re stuck, or unlock Practice Mode to play freely without time pressure or boosts. This allows players to learn piece movement patterns at their own pace and refine their strategies.
