Pieces still move the way you'd expect from chess: bishops glide diagonally, rooks slide in straight lines, knights hop in their signature L-shape, and so on. Instead of capturing an enemy king, you're using those same movement rules to line up same-colored pieces and clear them out two at a time.
Every level gives you a limited number of moves, so plan ahead. Chain the right captures in the right order and you'll clear the whole board before you run out of turns. Rush in carelessly and you might get stuck with pieces you can no longer reach.
It's a fresh spin on both chess and puzzle games, easy to pick up but full of tricky positions that make you think several moves ahead.
